I must say, this was such a fun assignment for school. It took a bit of practice to get it right, the paint consistency had to be perfect. You had to get the paint jumping in the first couple of seconds…
Of course my first round of experimentation whilst messy and fun, didn’t yield the results I had seen others do online. Round two and instead of poster paint, slightly more expensive gouache paint and a lot less paint, which as a benefit meant not as much mess! I think it was pretty successful experiment.
Paint Splosh - Runny round 2
Not quite right. The colours look cool though.
Paint Splosh - Getting there....
Paint splosh round 2
Paint Splosh - Too Runny
This one I used to much paint and it was too runny.
Pre paint splosh
This is what the paint looked like on the vibratron before the speaker is turned on.
Paint Splosh - Success!
Paint Splosh Success! Nice consistency of the paint, the flash has frozen the paint mid splash.
Paint Splosh - Success
Caught the splosh at just the right time!
Pre Paint Splosh
The calm before the stereo is turned on.
